For years, I’ve painted large-scale concert backdrops for many iconic classic rock bands, and my paintings have been seen by millions of people around the world. I'm grateful for that, and Color On The Backdrop is my way of paying that experience forward. It gives kids the chance to add their own color to a real stage backdrop I painted for Smash Mouth—the band behind the hit song “All Star” from Shrek. After the backdrop toured with the band, Smash Mouth donated it back to me so it could inspire the next generation of artists through hands-on art activities. Kids can also begin at home with the My Backdrop Rocks! coloring page and have their finished designs featured in the Kids’ Gallery and entered into the prize drawing.

Parents or guardians can download the exclusive My Backdrop Rocks coloring page so kids can create their own concert-backdrop design.

Finished artwork can be included in the Kids’ Gallery and entered into a prize drawing. One selected design will be recreated as a real, hand-painted mini backdrop for their room.
